Welcome to Australia’s first ever exciting Geocaching Mega Event (GC1YJ5R) to be held in Wagga Wagga which is located in the heart of the Riverina region in Southern Central NSW.
Registration is now CLOSED.
Wagga Wagga is the largest inland city in NSW with a population of over 60,000. The city is very close to the geographical centre between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and is nestled on the banks of the magnificent Murrumbidgee River. There are more than 150 geocaches located within a 20 km radius.

Wagga Wagga is a dynamic and cosmopolitan regional city with thriving businesses and boasts fantastic sports and arts communities. The city offers a temperate climate, is rich in cultural heritage and has a wealth of fantastic attractions making it an ideal destination for visitors all year round. It is the gateway to many attractions within the Riverina.
The Oz Mega location is at “Camp Kurrajong” within the Kurrajong Reserve, north east of the city, on the road to Oura (named the Gundagai or Oura Road), about 9 km from the north end of the main street of the city, Fitzmaurice Street. The 13 acres of natural bush reserve is owned by the Scout Association,"Riverina Division".
Included in the amenities are two large halls, 2 toilet blocks, 2 shower blocks, bunk dormitories for 81 people, which includes bedrooms with your choice of either 4 beds or 8 beds in them. But the highlight is a picturesque facility with privacy all around, and is the ideal location for geocachers, as it is very flat and has ample camping facilities.

For full details, including the event program, camping and accommodation, and a whole lot more, please visit the other pages on this website.
Or keep a "watch" on the cache event page - Oz Mega to receive updates to the listing.
Registration
The cost to attend Oz Mega Wagga Wagga is now AU $40 per Geocaching name team, for late entries. Late entries will not receive any of the special pack that all registered entries will receive.
Camping on Site
For those wishing to camp on site, the camping fees will be AU$5 per person (over the age of 5) per night for the 3 nights - $15 for the weekend, and the bunk costs will be AU$20 for each person per night - $60 for the weekend. The caravan parks in Wagga Wagga will have ample room, if you book early.
The Riverina Geocaching Committee invites you to this unique event.
We hope to see you all here at Easter for a great weekend of fun and excitement.
Another event, the Oz Mega Cito (a
Event) has been listed to help with the cleanup of the area around the scout camp on Easter Monday.
The Committee will be donating any surplus funds after the event to worthy local charities, including the MS Society Wagga Branch.
